11 The participation to Milano Food City 2018, with an infotainment event of public interest envisageing the exhibition of private collections concerning nutrition starts from the exhi- bition of approximately 500 selected graphical-artistic “menus”. The exhibition is accompanied by an interesting presentation highlighting the col- lection, custody, organisation, cataloguing, interpretation and enhancement of a private colleciton of antique menus. The exhibition which is of great graphic and artistic importance, is accompanied by an historical and cultural presentation on the collection of popular documents and historical records. The workshop illustrates the IT system adopted for the enhancement of the collection, describes the filing system and the classification method. Firstly the individual menus are put in order using both classic and digital filing systems in addition to a filing system which has been especially created for this type of collection. The initiative seeks to bring to the public’s attention other issues related to nutrition – during the “Milano Food City” week from May 7 to May 13, 2018 - which can offer contents, value and support to the sector make the city more interesting from the cultural, aggregation and economic point of view.
