The exhibition of these menus is dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the International “Profilo Donna” Award held at the Ducal Palace of the Military Academy in Modena. The “Profilo Donna” Award has been organized by Cristina Bicciocchi since 1989 and it celebrates those women who thanks to their commitment and results excel and have attained key positions in their sectors of reference. The “ 2019 Culture, Leadership and Solidarity ” prize for the food sector has been awarded to Lara Gilmore of Soul for Food , a cultural project seeking to eliminate food waste which was developed during the EXPO in Milan with the objective of collecting food surpluses and offering them to the guests in reception centres. Together with Massimo Bottura and in collaboration with the Caritas Ambrosiana they thus organized the Ambrosian Refectory giving new life to an abandoned theatre in Milan. The exhibition of the menus, followed by a detailed explanation illustrating their historical, artistic and cultural value, highlighted the human, cultural, solidarity and ethical meaning of the event.
